Wellbeing
Learning Intention: We are learning to understand the changes in the community.
Success Criteria: I can identify things I have done to adapt.
During this time, our learning community has needed to adjust to huge changes.
There are things we can control and things we can’t. We need to adapt and reframe our thoughts. It is easy to focus on the negatives when change is forced upon us and many decisions are out of our control. It is important that we challenge negative thoughts and develop more helpful and constructive ways of thinking. So how has the Corona Virus affected your life.
Activities:
Seesaw - Use the comic strip activity on Seesaw to describe the changes you have had to make.

Learning Intention: We are learning to understand how the way we think affects our learning
Success Criteria: I can use a growth mindset to help me achieve success.
“Something important I have learned is patience, and turning each failure into a learning experience. ..Instead of calling them "failures" I call them "lessons". Instead of saying, "I failed at that," I say, "I learned from that." Each failure has taught me something incredibly valuable.”
― Lindsey Rietzsch
This is a growth Mindset.
How does the way I think affect the way I learn and behave?
A growth mindset teaches us that failing is part of learning.
But how can we switch from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset?
Some people see a problem and give up, others see a problem as a challenge and something to solve. Is the glass half empty or half full?
Activities: Growth Mindset vs Fixed Mindset
Seesaw - Watch the video on Seesaw and answer the 4 questions.
